December!!
Simcoe Beaverton
Went after the stellar teacher interview, so started on a good note. Rigged the 4.5 on look and feel alone as no one was around. Took out the new Tabou Pocket 69 (sometimes having a board stolen is a blessing in disguise). Turned out to be a good call. Solid 2.5hr of sailing non stop on slightly up and down (mostly up) SW. Small wave, some jumps. Mostly blasting and riding the small waves. Only one episode of ice cream headache when stayed under the sail for a few seconds after a failed forward attempt (or at least the sail tried to go around). Racing through the tall grass at time!
Weather wise. Rigged the sail+board in 14minutes, and took another 15 just to get dressed (and same to undress!!). Note to self: 5/3 plus a fleece inside the drysuit = toasty warm. Poured some warm water from the thermos inside the boots and gloves before getting in the water was definitely a good idea and it worked!.
Overall, memorable. Sun cloud and Christmas songs on the radio.
