Windy :)
Ramsey Lake Sudbury Canoe Club
It was nice and windy again.
I used the 6.5 Ezzy and Tiga Xgame again.
I had to stop part way through the session to flatten out the sail because it was just too windy in the gusts :)
Progress:
I hit several carve gybes nicely. Only one was planing through the whole gybe and sail flip. I had two really nice wipeouts.
I was able to do several shortboard tacks.
I had the fin completely out of the water on several nice jumps.
It is nice to be able to pop the board out of the water.
? Does anyone know why the fin spins out every time I land these jumps?
I am able to control the board but the fin is clearly cavitating and sliding sideways. The board has 48cm fin. I suspect that I am overpowering the fin by putting too much weight on my back foot upon landing.
Does anyone have any ideas?
