Waves, Dogs and beer!

Georgian Bay Allenwood

And what a way to end the session yesterday!b Thanks to Allenwood and oldschool who shared their dogs, corn and beer!

As for the sailing itself, it was another onshore gusty day. Fathom and rinr showed up besides a few others. for a change, the # of windsurfers out numbered the kiters....a rare site in Allenwood Beach. Had 3 sessions today, with the first being the better, with the best choice of gear (115L/5.7), headed out to the lower bowl and managed to catch some nice rides with Fathom. Some nice head high sets came in, but again, getting carried away with a ride was taking me too close to the beach. Started to get a little overpowered, and went in to rig down. 5.2 / 92 L combo still felt too big, as, although I could handle it, riding with too much power was not fun! In to rig down again, Howling wind decided on 4.2. Mistake as now I git stuck in the break in the lower bowl and not enough power to make it back up. Finally made it back, and went back to the 5.7 (wind had backed off by then) This time I just had funb in the beachbreak in front of the parking.

Weather Conditions

Cool at first, but then sunny and warm
