No way! My 2001 / 2002 5.0M Neil Pryde Core and I have a secret love affair. It's my favourite sail ever that I have owned, and it must love me back because in 2005 when I broke my ankle sailing at Beaverton I ditched my rig to get back in. After I got out of the hospital I put an ad in the local paper up there and someone responded that it had washed ashore on their property and I got it back. I figure we were meant for eachother. That sail just can't be replaced.

Sounds like you are married to the 5.0 Core.
You are welcome to do a head to head comparison with mine on the next 30 knots day...you never know, you might enjoy a second wife!

Received the Maplefreaks.... sails look great. Definitely different to rig with the partial length battens. Kept wondering if downhaul tension was correct. Will probably need to get on the water and test by trial and error. Will be cool to see a congregation of these sails on the water. Nice to put some names to Windsurf Canada identities. Hope someone enjoyed the wind yesterday cause it wasn't me :(

When will the mass order for the "fleur de lis freaks" be for the Quebec members?

Someone going to rig one of these sails up and share the pictures?

Sailed our 60 Maplefreak 5mins after it arrived today. Pumped nicely onto a plain, sailed until I broke the boom. Resued by a seadoo. Great start. Seadoo of shame return home

I've been lucky enough to sail all of mine over the past week (4of5 days)....I love them. They look wicked on the water, lots of power, lots of control, and lots of fun. Takes a bit to get the rigging set but once you do, wow! Definitely worth the wait! No pics...but video is in the works for some MapleFreak Action.

I'm jealous, it's gonna be cool seeing these things on the water for the Free4all!
