NICE!! I've got the itch to get on the water and by the looks of the weather this week and now looking at this pic, some windskippy is in the future. March 7th, right on!!

MCP= Mary Curtis Park. At the south end of 427/Browns Line

I actually drove to the beach on Sunday, no gear, just figuring that some Nutcase may "brake the ice" and go out... unfortunately missed the sailor, felt the immense heat of some +4 degrees that the water must have, and went back home to wax my skis! March break coming... ski trip

Hats off to those who sailed, or even considered sailing on the weekend
Marek

Hey JetMech,
If you're itching then keep an eye on Friday it looks like 7'C and honkin SE. Looks like sailing at your favourite spot if it happens, either that or at park at Shoal Point. I'm not breaking out formula gear (aka Tuna Boat) to schlog in 4'C on flat water. The tuna boat is reserved for the depths of summer Jones'n in the doldrums of July and August.
Today on the other hand would have been great. I'm sorry I missed that.
Fathom,
You game? Let me know so I can huck out all the gear and get it ready.

Yeah, was hard to resist not to go out on sunday. but it was real squirrelly  and cross-off. Had a couple of rippin runs  but didn't have the cajones to get really dialled on a new ride.
The Roberts Formula:R doesn't much resemble a "tuna boat" - that'b be more a Paulo Ianetti thing.
It was a blast to get out, tho' .
who's the next contender? db? Hangloose? marekB? Epop?
maholo!

I'm just waiting for my annual Hatteras trip which is in about 4 weeks. Until then, I'm sticking to 'dry' (rainy weekend ahead) land with my camera.

Nicely Done! And the lack of hood shows a level of daring I don't think I could match in March. Drove to Bomanville for a family function on Sun. and had to endure watching the waves, sun and decent breeze as I looked south off the 401. Is it just me or is there always a family dinner/birthday/crisis on potential session days?
Weather looks promising for the County over the next little while - we will be hitting the Sandbanks or thereabouts. March Break should allow some leisure time I hope.
Again - nicely done on your session

Yeah, tempting indeed.
In fact it was warmer than when I sailed last (December) when it was snowy, cloudy, air and water at 2C.
We'll be away for March break so this friday is a no go.
Spring snowboarding is too nice to miss though (esp. when the hills are empty and all those windsurfers are away on water).
